Artist Statement
‘The Story of Aoyagi’ is full of beautiful imagery, love, sorrow, happiness, and loss, and realises on our deep but often unknowing interconnectedness to the environment around us. The story inspired me with a sense of other worldliness and sensory interactions with the landscape, as well as the sense of memories held in the land around us.

「青柳の物語」は、美しいイメージ、愛、悲しみ、幸福、喪失感に満ちており、私たちが周りの環境と気づかないうちに深く繋がりあっていることに気づかされる。この物語を読んで、異世界の感覚や風景との五感を通じた交流を感じ、私たちの周りの土地に刻まれた記憶の感覚をも覚えた。
