Artist Statement
I present paintings and three-dimensional works using Photo Esquisse, a technique which involves creating collages of objects and motifs in three-dimensional space. I photograph them from various angles, realistically drawing the world of photography into painting and mixing fantasy with reality. I want the viewer to feel it with their own sensibilities. In a world with too much meaning, it’s okay for things to have no meaning.

私は、立体的な空間にオブジェやモチーフをコラージュするフォトエスキースという技法で絵画や立体作品を発表している。さまざまな角度から撮影し、写真の世界を写実的に絵画へ描き起こす。空想世界と現実が入りまじり、観るものを色彩豊かなストーリーに引き込んでいく。観た人の感性で感じてもらいたい。意味あるものが溢れすぎている現代、無意味な存在があっても良いと思う。
