Artist Statement
I am inspired by various colours and shapes found around me, such as the grain of furniture, tile patterns, and cobblestone pavement. For this exhibition, I created this work by combining images of places I have visited with the words “ethereal atmosphere” from his most memorable work, ‘Hōrai’.
アーティストの声明
家具の木目、タイルの模様、石畳など、身近に見られるさまざまな色と形から着想を得て作品を作っている。今回は、最も印象に残った作品「蓬莱」の中の「霊妙な大気」という言葉から、自分の訪れたことのある場所のイメージを組み合わせながら制作した。
