Artist Statement
When I read Kwaidan, I was fascinated by ‘The Dream of Akinosuke’ and felt compelled to turn it into an artwork. Unlike many other stories in the collection, the sense of ephemerality expressed in this tale seems to outweigh any sense of eeriness.

『怪談』を読んで作品にしてみたいと思ったのが「安芸之介の夢」だった。他の話にある不気味さよりも儚い気持ちが勝る物語に魅力を感じた。
