Niamh Flanagan graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin in 2002 with a 1st Class Honours in Fine Art Print and is a member of Graphic Studio Dublin where she also works as Projects Coordinator and Master Printer. Her most recent solo presentation of work, thin places of escape and return was shown at SO Fine Art Editions in October 2022. She is working towards a presentation of unique works Blickar mot Landscap to be held at Galleri Helle Knudsen, May 2023. In 2021 she was the recipient of the Graham Wilkinson Print Award at the RHA 191st Annual Exhibition.

Niamh’s work is in the collections of the Office of Public Works, The Law Society of Ireland, the British Library and the National Gallery of Ireland. She has taken part in residencies and exhibitions in Oslo, Poland, Slovenia, Cork, Donegal, Edinburgh and Dublin. Awards include Arts Council Mentorship Scheme, Travel and Training Award, Culture Ireland Grant. Residencies include Cill Rialiag Project, Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry, Lindart International Artists’ Colony, Lendava, Slovenia, ‘Na Granicy | Where Borders Meet’, Gorlice, Poland and Edinburgh Printmakers, Edinburgh, Scotland.

She has worked extensively in education, developing the Etching Programme at Graphic Studio Dublin. In 2013 she set up Mobile Print Project with artist Clare Henderson, an initiative that aims to promote printmaking through education in Ireland.
