Richard Lawlor is a Dublin based printmaker and member of Graphic Studio Dublin who works primarily with etching on copper. He graduated from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) with an honours degree in Fine Art in 2016 and has participated in several Graphic Studio Dublin shows, SO Fine Art Editions, the RHA and RUA.

Richard’s prints are figurative and reflective of historic film stills and photography based on characters whose lives have involved tragedy of one kind or another. The artist describes his subjects as inhabitants of forgotten stories too tragic or obscure in their own time due to the sadness of their existence and demise.
